Lions Could Win Today

Forget about everything you have been hearing in the news about how Smith will be ineffective today. Minnesota may feel like they have something to prove, but what Detroit needs to prove is beyond belief. Let's Go Lions! Here comes the first win of the season.... I pray.

Minnesotas secondary is weak.. CJ for 130 2 TD's!!! Who cares if there are three people guarding him.. and daunte culpepper looks like he is 40... minnesota is overrated.. very solid team but if frerotte is off. .they have absolutely no pass game.. AP indoors though scares me.

Long story short.. praying is believing.. .this may be their easiest game left in the season.. i think they have NO somewhere down the line.. and NO is always good for a choke

so here is how bad the Lions really are.. josh and i were discussing treating them and there struggles as that similiar to an expansion team.... e.g. the buccaneers went undefeated and eventually won a super bowl... drastic changes are needed in detroit.. beginning with mngnt.. i mean whats the deal.. its not good for the league to have shitty teams to the extent that the Lions do.. they have a three retired QB as their starter and kid that gets a concussion everytime he gets hit.. and they have no line.. you cant seriously tell me .. you thought they were going to be good in any fashion. .

The key word is "could". On any given day any team could win. Yes, for this years Lions the probability of victory may be near the lowest in history. But, is this week the game? We will see how the Lions will matchup against a strong Vikings run defense. Will the Lions tackling ineptitude we can only expect AP will truly run circles around an unprepared and untalented Lion's defense. However, there may be light at the end of the tunnel. I bring you back to my 1-15 '96 Jets. That year a rookie Keyshawn Johnson just wanted the damn ball, and we struggled with a new quarterback (good old Neil O'Donnell). The following two years, a marginally maturing Keyshawn developed a chemistry with a the veteran O'Donnell that led to 9-7 and then 12-4 [lost in AFC championships to Denver]. What I'm getting at is with Calvin Johnson maturing, and a talented/healthy Cullpepper, a solid offensive line is all that stands between an incredibly dynamic offense.
